Meet Bryan Garbett, Director of Finance at Hyper Solutions

At Hyper Solutions, our financial leadership is key to driving growth, and Bryan Garbett, our Director of Finance, exemplifies this commitment. Bryan joined Hyper full-time in April 2024 after initially working with us as a consultant. With a strong background in financial analysis and a passion for process improvement, he has quickly become an essential part of our team.

A Career in Finance and Strategy

Bryan’s career began in Big Four public accounting with KPMG, where he built a foundation in audit and financial reporting. Over the years, he’s held leadership roles in a variety of sectors, including positions as Director of Finance and Data Analytics at Atlantic 10 Conference and Non-Profit Controller and CFO at Your Part-Time Controller. His connection with Hyper Solutions started while consulting through Fahrenheit Advisors, where he quickly found himself drawn to Hyper’s mission. “I loved the people and mission here so much that I joined full-time,” he says.

What Bryan Enjoys Most at Hyper

For Bryan, the team atmosphere and collaborative culture make Hyper a standout. “The team and culture are second to none,” he shares. “Everyone here is trusted to do their job, and we’re all pulling in the same direction. There aren’t any cliques or politics, and the growth and excitement at the Hyper Hub are contagious. I love coming into the office every day.” Although new to the data center industry, Bryan has jumped into the learning process, motivated by the chance to explore Hyper’s unique role in this field.

Life Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Bryan spends his time with his family, especially his two young sons, ages four and two. “My oldest loves baseball, so one of my favorite things to do is play catch or pitch to him,” Bryan shares. He and his wife also share a love of travel and college football, making it a tradition to attend games at new venues each season. “Last month, we went to the Ohio State-Oregon game in Eugene, Oregon—naturally, I wore my Hyper jacket!” he adds with a smile.

Balancing Career and Family

With two young children, Bryan appreciates Hyper’s flexibility and support for work-life balance. “As long as you’re getting your work done, management is supportive when family matters need attention,” he explains. This flexibility, paired with access to resources for professional growth, has empowered Bryan to make a strong impact in his role. “If I need something, all I have to do is ask,” he notes, grateful for Hyper’s culture of openness and support.

Becoming Part of the Hyper Family

A memorable moment for Bryan was when Hyper’s VP of Finance, Tina Waller, invited him to join full-time. “One night, I told my wife that my job would be incredible if every client were like Hyper. The very next day, Tina asked if I’d be interested in coming to work here,” Bryan recalls. Moving from a consultant to a full-time member of the Hyper Family has been an exciting step, filled with opportunities to contribute and grow.

Looking Ahead

Bryan and his wife dream of celebrating their ten-year anniversary in Greece, drawn by its stunning scenery and cuisine. For now, Bryan unwinds with a good bourbon, enjoys live Widespread Panic shows, and treasures time with his sons. As a lifelong Capitals fan, he fondly remembers attending the 2018 Stanley Cup Final Game 3—a moment that still brings a smile.
