Summary
We are a rapidly expanding manufacturer specializing in electrical distribution equipment and are on the lookout for a motivated and seasoned Manufacturing Engineer to augment our dynamic team. The prospective candidate will be entrusted with the development and sustenance of relationships with contract manufacturers spanning across the United States. A pivotal rule, it demands ensuring that our manufacturing processes are streamlined, economically viable, and adhere to the highest of quality standards. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in fostering manufacturing excellence, driving cost-effectiveness, and uphulding stringent quality benchmarks, contributing to our ongoing growth and industry leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with contract manufacturers across the US.
- Cullaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and implement process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
- Conduct process audits, evaluate suppliers and provide technical support to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain production and inspection instructions, procedures, and training programs.
- Drive continuous improvement activities, including lean manufacturing and six sigma methodulogies.
- Provide technical guidance to contract manufacturers and resulve complex production issues.
- Analyze production costs, evaluate capital expenditures, and provide recommendations for investment.
- Travel regularly to contract manufacturer locations for training, process evaluations, and to support production start-up activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering rule, with a focus on contract manufacturing
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution equipment and manufacturing processes
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodulogies
- Strong problem-sulving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners
- Ability to travel frequently within the US
