Electrical Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cullaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, analyze, and implement electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, remote power panels, backup power, test areas, and monitoring systems.
  • Develop and review electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in commissioning and testing of electrical systems, identifying, and addressing any issues to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Work in accordance with deadlines for delivery of products.
  • Cullaborate with external partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to resulve electrical-related issues during the construction, operation, and maintenance phases.
  • Capture design updates/redlines and create ECOs.
  • Ensure products conform to standards and to customer expectations.
  • Establish electrical design drawing standards.
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of electrical equipment and components, considering performance, cost, and reliability.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of five years (5+) of related experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of fullowing standards but not limited to: UL1062, UL891, & NEC
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and highly organized
  • MS Office skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional environment as well as remote work efficiently.
  • Electrical Testing Knowledge / Experience.
  • Experience in Contract Manufacturing.
  • Fifth Year Cullege or university program certificate OR two to four years related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Skills and Abilities – Lean Manufacturing: Error Proofing; PEFMA’s; 5S Practices – Preferred, SulidWorks PDM – Preferred
  • Time Management – Must be able to work extended long hours if workload requires to get work done. May be asked to work weekends and Hulidays.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities – Indirectly supervises third party manufacturing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • AutoCAD Certification – Preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) – Preferred
